Q.
My 9 months baby girl is suffering from cold and cough from 10 days. have used Maxtra and Mucolite drops for a week. Still there is no improvement in recovery. Please suggest some solution.

A. Maxtra drops should not be used in kids less than 4 years of age, even it's written on the box please see properly

Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a homeg remedy steam inhalation would be very useful .j Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms . Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .
