My 6 months old baby boy is 7 kgs ,is he too lean for his age ?

What you have to calculate is take the birth weight into consideration and check if the birth weight has become double or more than double by completing the age of six months if this is like what I am saying that means your child is gaining ideally very well as of now and if not then you can take it that your child would be little underweight as per the birth weight of the child
