My 5 month baby girl normal gets her left eye watery/ tears.The eye is not red.also baby doesn't cry or touch it but her left eye gets watery and tears..when we consultant general doctor over call he said nothing to worry asked to put ciplon eye drop but we are bit worried should we take second opinion or meet eye specialist for it?

this occurs due to nasolacrimal duct obstruction which is very common in children at this age
it occurs due to obstruction of pathway (nasolacrimal duct) from eyes to the nose for which eyes massage is needed regularly and this problem goes away with increasing age of the childz
meet your doctor for more information and also go through various videos which will also tell you how to massage the eyes to decrease the obstruction.
