Q.

my 3 month old boy is not feeding from the breast most of the time.. and even if he drinks he hardly drinks for 5 minutes... is it ok to pump and feed him?

A. Yes it's ok to express using breastpump. It won't decrease the milk secretion. Milk supply is based on demand . The more and more u express or the baby sucks, more Breastmilk will be produced. The difference between direct breast feeding and using breastpump is that u will have an emotional connect when the baby sucks directly which will be absent while using breastpump. Also direct sucking will trigger ur hormones and comparatively produce more milk.
