Q.

My 3 month old baby is passing excessive mucus with small pieces of stools. also to be precise, it's more of mucus and less of the stool that he has been passing and the frequency of this stool passing is 10-15 times a day. The mucus is blackish green in color. Also he has been drooling for a while now and have become touchy. What is the problem? Kindly help me

A. look fir swollen gums or teething signs. it can be a sign of an underlying infection or medical condition that can cause mucus in stool, including infections, allergies, and more... do consult your paedriatian to evaluate.

A. I saw some blood clots in his stool today. also, this isna sort of stool he has been passing for last 4 days. is it normal or a cause of concern?

A. thank you for reaching out to us with this question usually mucus in the stools means the baby is having some form of condition please to visit your examining pediatrician who can examine and check if there is any chest congestion and give medication accordingly
