Q.

my 1.5 months old baby is taking the feed only for 10 mins 3-4 hrs once. his tummy is getting full within 10 mins and even if I force to feed further, he is not sucking. urinating more than 8 times and pooping 1-2 times a day. should I try for a 20-30 mins feed?

A. you should not feed the baby for more than 10 minutes. During first two months you should maintain a gap of two hours between two feedings. But after completing two months it is advisable to feed your baby only on demand and do not give any forceful feeding on particular timings The feeding should be done atleast 10 minutes.

A. Why do you have to force your child to take the feed when your child has a sense of understanding that I am fully in a sufficient time and the child puts breastfeeding it could be 10 minutes or 15 minutes and if your child is full for two or three hours and that means your child is having decent enough which is keeping the child full you don’t have to force feed the child there is no concept of feeding for 20 to 30 minutes I think you really are having some misunderstanding with the time and feeding
