POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy5 months agoA. It is completely normal for your 6-month-old baby to eat varying amounts of solids—sometimes just 4 spoons and other times 10 spoons. At this stage, solids are just for practice, and breast milk or formula remains the main source of nutrition. Babies eat based on their hunger, mood, and interest, so there is no need to worry as long as she is active, gaining weight, and having regular wet diapers.
What You Can Do:
✔ Follow her hunger cues – Don’t force-feed; let her decide how much to eat.
✔ Offer a variety of textures and flavors – Mashed fruits, veggies, dal water, or rice cereal.
✔ Keep mealtimes stress-free – Let her explore and enjoy food.
✔ Continue breastfeeding or formula – It provides the main nutrition.
As long as she is interested in eating and trying different foods, there is no concern. Gradually, her appetite will increase as she grows!
