try giving different varieties of food with different colors,  tastes and texture.  
avoid force feeding 
listen to the cues of hunger and then provide meal 
give small and frequent meals.  avoid large meals 
make meal time fun.

U Can continue with porridge khichadi mashed banana mashed potato vegetable purée fruits and after the age of 9 to 10 months you can introduce egg chicken fish Roti Paratha sabji all these things to the child but of course the things are going to be in the semisolid consistency only
