Yes you can start giving it it is totally fine and healthy for babies rather than this you should also give home-made fresh food to your baby. In starting few days you should start giving Dal Ka Paani, rice water, vegetable soup, fruit Peery end with the time you can increase the food item in babies regular diet plan
