Is heater suitable for the 2 month old baby as he has blocked nose?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation huby the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

You can use heater at home buy don't put it near the baby. For blocked nose, please put saline solution like nasoclear in both the nostrils. You can use this several times in a day as it is just a salt water.
Give medicine after consulting paediatrician if cold is severe.
