Q.

I have tooth ache. Doctor said have to remove it becos of cavity. So prescribed amox 500 mg, calpal 650mg, pan D. Do these tablets go to my baby thru my Breast milk? pls clear my doubt doctor.

A. almost all medicines cross the breast milk to some extend if you want to avoid medicines then the best thing to do is get a proper treatment done you can visit an endodontist if your doctor has advised you a root canal treatment

A. Contents can always effect your breast milk as it is said that of a mother eats healthy the baby will be healthy, I hope you have had a word with your dentist that you are a lactating mother and that medicine mes should be prescribed in that manner

A. hi mam, yes , sometimes some medicines and it's content can affect your breastmilk supply so I advise to inform your treating doctor before you start feeding your child. at home ,for tooth pain ,I would suggest to keep elaychi or clove between your teeth ,it will give relief in pain.
