Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cow's milk should be introduced to the child only after 1 year of age .
Earlier introduction of cows milk can lead to micro bleeding in the digestive tract.
It's also deficient in iron vit E,C and essential fatty acid.
It's also lacking ideal proportion of protein and fats present in breast milk or any formula milk .for good Growth of the child it is important that the child should get proper nutritional requirement which is very important for the growing child specially iron and vitamin D is required for better growth and cognition . also there is role of other micronutrients.
one should ensure that the child should get a proper balanced diet which contains all types of nutrients essential for growth.
any kind oxf infection specially any chronic infection should be ruled out and treated which may hamper the growth otherwise.
after 2 years of age you c can give some powder like kids Pro/ prohance junior mix in milk twice a day for one or two months.
