POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. The most reliable way to measure a newborn's breathing rate is to count the number of breaths in 60 seconds. A person can gently place a hand on the baby's stomach or chest, counting each rise of the abdomen as a single breath.
