how normal is weight of 5 kg / height 61 cm for a 3 month old baby girl.If less, how to increase weight?

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr old girl4 years agoA. Weight is good actually. Not to worry. in the first 3 months, babies put on about 800-900grams each month. From 3-6 months, weight gain reduces to 1/2 kg/month. Also It's very common in infants. for newbies is common to shed some weight after birth and it applies to almost all babies. They burn calories for crying, having milk, breathing etc..it's quite normal.. They shed around 10-15% of birth weight in first two to three weeks and will slowly regain their weight within a month or two.
