Q.
How much weight should a baby grow in one month. My baby was born with 2.8 kg got reduced to 2.5 kg after two days then after 2months she is now 4kg . Is she growing properly?

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr old girl4 years agoA. Hi dear good evening Check if baby is gaining adequate weight. In the initial 3 months, babies put on about 1 kg each month. From 3-6 months, weight gain reduces to 1/2 kg/month. from 6-9 months, it becomes 1/3, and for 9-12 months, it settles to 1/4 kg. the birth weight doubles in the 4th month and triples when they reach 12 months of age. I think this should help you.
