Ankita MehtaMom of a 10 yr 3 m old girl1 Year agoA. hi yes, atleast 6 months is compulsory period. infact, ideally, mother should offer breasfeeding Upto 2 years age but depends on many other factors too,so if child or mother any of them not feeling comfortable with it, they start weaning after age of 6 or 12 months
