do not go by appearance
baby should gain at least 500 g per month and should double the birth weight by 6 months or less
frequently feed baby on demand, have frequent skin to skin contact,
at one time feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain
ensure that baby latches properly during breastfeeding.
