Q.

hlo my baby has cold and s facing nasal congestion from a week nd facing difficult if slept on bed and asking for be sitting position.we r using flucold nmonocef and ascoril from a week but this nasal congestion is not going away..he's unable to breathe..please tell what should I do....to get baby to normal.:(

A. Cold is a viral illness and symptoms could be sneezing, running nose, cough sore throat, nasal congestion and fever. Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants . steam inhalation would be beneficial . Medicines like sinarest/wikoryl / Alex cold can be given in a proper dose accordingf to the weight for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .

A. Hello dear parent, Uou should also give steam to your baby for few minutes and several times in a day. As steam actually helps in opening up nasal passages and also clears congestion of the baby. Also follow your doctor's instructions carefully for how medicines are to be given. Baby will be fine soon.
