A. If your baby has had a fever of 101°F since last night, keep them comfortable by giving plenty of fluids like breast milk or formula to prevent dehydration. Dress the baby in light clothing and keep the room temperature comfortable. You can give an age-appropriate dose of infant paracetamol (acetaminophen) to help reduce the fever, but follow the pediatrician’s dosage instructions carefully. Avoid overdressing or using cold baths. If the fever lasts more than 2 days, is very high (above 102°F), or if your baby shows symptoms like difficulty breathing, persistent crying, refusal to feed, or lethargy, seek medical attention immediately.
