Hi, What advice would you give to new mothers if newborn's umbilical stump does not fall off at an expected time? Thank you

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician4 years agoA. hello parent your kid is 6 months old usually the umbilicus falls on its own by 1 to 2 weeks of life incase it persisst beyond 2-3 wk , consult ur pediatrcian

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. If the cord hasn't come off after 3 weeks, be patient. Keep the area dry and make sure it's not covered by your child's diaper. If it hasn't come off in 6 weeks, or you see signs of fever or infection, call your doctor.
