Hi we are first time parents . We have a query regarding using pacifier my baby is one month old can we use pacifier and for how much duration can we use pacifier.

Early pacifier use might interfere with breast-feeding.
pacifiers are believed to create “nipple confusion” — that is, they’re believed to interfere with breastfeeding.
Your baby might become dependent on the pacifier.
Prolonged pacifier use might lead to dental problems.
Pacifier use might increase the risk of middle ear infections.

Well actually if you look at it pacifiers are a very bad addiction and it can have side-effects on the child which is my doctors do not advise you to use pacifier so you should avoid using pacifier that is what I can suggest you still if you would want to go ahead with it then you can ask your doctor but normally it’s not advisable
