Q.

hi my son is 19 months old having fever from last 2 days . I was giving calpol syr 3.5ml every 5 hours but fever goes after that and again return ..kindly suggest

A. you can go for higher medicines like ibugesic For FEVER as well as PAIN kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature. Also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give Paracetamol. higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation
