Q.
Hi, my son is 17 months old, for the past two days he was suffering from fever and cold later v got him to a doctor where he prescribed him cough syrup, that time there s no fever.. the day after his cough got worse, running nose and today he again got fever.. three times I gave him 2.5 ml f crocin bt still I'm worried.. fever comes and goes.. please advise

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest.
Asf a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like coughh and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
