Q.

hi, my son is 1 year and 6 months old. he is struggling with fever since evening of day before yesterday ( more than 1 day till now). Last night meximum body temperature was 102.7 F and we gave him crocin 6 ml. today he was doing well with normal body temperature till evening but after that body temp. started increasing and reached to 103. we are doing sponging with normal water and have given crocin (7 ml) at 10:00 pm but no improvement then have given ibugesic (4 ml) at 01:00 am but still no improvement. please suggest what to do now. we will give crocin again at 06-07 am. need urgent suggestion to take care of my kid, kindly suggest what to do?

A. fever is not going down even after sponge and body temp. is still 103.

A. what should be optimal.room temperature that we should keep for our baby with fever? currently our room temperature is 30 degree celcius.

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you cagn give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
