Q.

hi..my child is 40 days old. since his birth he has learnt to suck only the left breast. the nipple of the right one is slightly shorter and whenever I try to feed him with the right one he seems to be very irritated. so for the past 30/35 days he is just having the left breast. I feel just having the left one will not be sufficient for him so iam forced to give him formula feed which iam not liking as everyone says mother's milk is the best. What should I do to make him suck the right one even? Should I keep on trying?

A. hello in such case try using a nipple shield for the other side and see if the baby can latch st h or express the milk using Babyhug breastpump and feed the same using a bpa free bottle which should be safe and good for the growth of your child and any concern then check with your doctor
