Q.

Hi My baby was born in 35weeks with 1.8kg he is 70days old current weight -3.3kg. His pediatrician asked me to give top feed of formula with breastmilk to increase with his weight. Is it necessary??

A. exclusive breastfeeding has to be continued till completion of 6 months of age and you have to drink plenty of water and at least 500 ml milk everyday as well as homemade food from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruitss daily e as well as you can go for shatavari supplement which will also help in increasing the breast milk formation also take multivitamins iron calcium and vitamin d along with folic acid. follow all this steps to increase breast milk formation

A. hi weight is little bit less. so you may give formula as per your doctor's prescription. or offer plenty of breastfeeds. feed your child on each breast at least 20 minutes so he or she can get full fat hindmilk well which help to increase your child weight. give Massage to your child daily , use Babyhug massage oil which will help to improve your child bones and muscles.
