Q.

Hi, my baby is preterm baby who 25 days old, by birth1..5kg and reduced to 1.2 due to nicu then discharged and after 2 weeks he gained only 1.4 kg. even breastfeeding give every 2 hrs. please suggest how to increase weight

A. well ask doctor to plan a formula too if need be. see only the doctor who can see you in person can judge what is the right status. best to trust her

A. Ma’am Have patience if your child becomes even 6 to 6 1/2 kgs by second month completion that means your child is gaining decent weight need not worry about it for initial one losing about 500 g is a very common thing but over the period of the weight increases its fine as of now I don’t think so you need to worry about it
