Hi, my baby is 6month old, by mistake she hit her hand on hot steel bowl.. the burnt area became red with light swelling.. what should i apply?

ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. cant ignore burn in babies.See you can always show to a doctor online if you are afraid of covid. As this you can not ignorewell its not possible to comment unless we see the patient in person. Hence better to show to a doctor there only

Rub Ice cube on to this area and apply toothpaste for the timing and later once the swelling settles down you can start applying coconut oil onto it because it is not a severe burn or anything so coconut oil is going to be good enough otherwise you can get a medicine called Silver X
