Hi, my baby is 4 konth old and he ihas started sucking thumb when he is 3 months old. now i am using pacifier to avoid thumb sucking. As I jave heard thumb sucking deteriorated teeth shapes.

ExpertDr. Garima VermaDentist3 years agoA. yes thumb sucking can cause protrusion of teeth. the habit is normal till the age of 3 years but earlier the habit is stopped the better it is. pacifiers are also not a good way. the habit is difficult to break

Teething must be happening also for your information thumbsucking still better than pacifier because pacifiers work done thumb sucking also video actually introduce a very bad habit to the child and I am would appreciate if you could stop it otherwise it will be problematic for you and the child in the loan long run
