Q.

hi my baby had a cold. Her nose is filled with mucus and she taking breathe from mouth. I am giving maxtrap 3 times a day. I am also using nostrils drops. What can I do to remove mucus from her nose

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinharest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
