Q.

hi, my 5 month old is I think teething she is crying a lot... getting fuzzy and irritated... wakes up a lot in her sleep many times hands are all the time in her mouth, drooling a lot.. and snatching on her hairs and ears.... pls advice me on this

A. it is due to teething. there is itching, pain, drooling of saliva, swelling in the gums, oral finger insertion, irritability and crying during the teething process. with the help of your fingers you can press the gums of the child to decrease the pain as well ass you can give a pacifier but it should be clean. you can give a cold cotton cloth to bite and press between the gums the child is crying due to pain then you can give paracetamol which will also help in decreasing the pain long-term medicine are usually not advisable
