Q.

hi I have a 17 days old girl baby.. usually she passes stools 10+ times in a day.. doctor said it's normal for a breast feed baby.. today due to insufficient milk supply I gave lactogen 1 for single feed.. after that baby passes stool.. again she passes 2 times stools after 4 hours of formula.. in between I gave 2 breast feeds.. is it normal?? shall I continue to give formula one time per day?

A. Giving your baby formula in addition to breastfeeding is called supplementing. It's completely fine and perfectly safe to do.
