Hi , I am infected with Dengue so can I breastfeed my baby??

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 1 Year agoA. yes you can continue breastfeeding if the level is mild.
just keep a gap of two hours after taking medications.
and also avoid feeding during fever episode.
rest of the time you can feed.

Right now I would suggest you not to breastfeed the child you can feed once you’re completely alright right now you would have a lot of weakness and the medicine that are advisable would not be suitable for you to breastfeed so it would be better that you avoid as of now
