Hi Dr. Both mine and my husband's blood group is O positive and my elder son belongs to O negative group. He is 4.5yrs old now. And now am in my 4th week of second pregnancy. Is there anything precaution to be done in this pregnancy regarding the differences in the blood group of ours?

A. Hello dear The rh negative precautions are necessary only if the mother is negative and the father is positive. As you both are positive there is no need of any special precautions

A. Yes , having same blood group is not at all a problem . Problem arise when male partner have RH +ve and female partner have RH - ve and that also in case of second pregnancy. You can get diagnosed with RH immunoglobin iin such cases during pregnancy.
