Q.

Hii doctor. My husband blood group is o positive and my blood group is b positive but our daughter blood group is b negative. How it’s possible because we both are positive blood group even my son blood group is b positive . But daughter is b negative. Please tell me the reason.

A. possibly. better to show to specialist always as they get the correct diagnosis. try to avoid self and extra medication that will only complicate this and create more damage to the child

A. A child can have a different blood type than their parents and also the same blood type. Our RBCs carry antigens on their surfaces and the ability to produce these antigens is determined by genes inherited from parents. So, genotypes determine the blood groups in the child. ABO blood group system is found in humans.
