hi doctor my boy baby birth weight is 3.09kg now he is 145 days old, now his weight is 8.5 kg. is this normal weight or over weight

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist3 years agoA. Was the baby 3KG and 90 g or 3900 g in weight ? Usually by 5 months the baby should double the birth weight and by one year should triple the birthweight and if it is more than that then consult a doctorWrite Your Answer Here

It’s Actually a little bit of overweight but of course but looking at the birth weight your child is getting really good amount of weight definitely it’s commendable but as per doctors if you got is going to be an overweight category only but that’s okay you continue feeding your child in the similar manner once your child will learn to sit and walk the way it is automatically going to come down
