Q.
hi doctor my baby is 4 months old and he has a cold for one month I am using syrup daily but sometimes his running nose is normal

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus
try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause ofx cough and cold in small children.can give indirect steam inhalation .
anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.
for fever and pain give paracetamol
continue the regular diet which is being given to the child x

That’s okay the weather is also not favourable right now so these things can take a little longer than usual to be in control but right now you should continue with the medicines that have been suggested by the doctor and if you do not see any betterment with a maximum of five days then in that case you need to re-check with your doctor
