mom of 10months old baby. for the past 2weeks I am getting nipple crack in both. if I don't feed, it feels good. after feeding again nipple cracks and pain. I am using nipcare ointment, but it's been 2 weeks I am struggling with this. I amunable to feed my daughter. any suggestions pls how long does it take to cure

hi Mum it is best to apply breastmilk to cracked nipple especially hind milk. it has great healing properties. don't wear bra until healed and let it air dry.

creams have to be washed before breastfeeding which again dries the area and aggravates injury. 
avoid soap on the nipple until healed

improper latching may have resulted in this. take care that maximum areola is in mouth of child, lower lip is curled out and chin touches breast
