Hello....what is meant by Femur length? I m 29week 3 days pregnant n the femur length is 5.4 cm...Dr said short fl n growth restrictions....what is it pls tell...

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 1 Year agoA. Fetuses with shorter-than-expected femur length have been found to be at higher risk for skeletal dysplasia, otherwise known as dwarfism. This is different from short stature, which is a height that is three or more standard deviations below the mean for age but is proportional.

Gynaecologist would be available she will be able to clear your doubt with it because in this case it’s better to go with what your doctor suggest sometimes as the pregnancy time increases the length also increases but still we cannot be sure about anything just further is going to give you better clarity
