Hello sir, My 5 months old boy baby is not pooping everyday since a month...4 days once he poops..I am feeding only breastmilk from day one..He is active and growth is also good...what is the reason??

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also.
it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day.
if the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as the colour (the colour can range from yellow brown green to black)s of the stool.
also straining while passing urine and stool is normal.
Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes

Constipation is completely normal at this age so don’t worry about it since you’re already mentioning that your child is active taking the feeding properly and if the urine output of the child is also proper Dil absolutely there is nothing for you to be worried about
