hello sir I want to ask u Dr told that my son is having a prolong jaundice please suggest me how long will it take to cure.

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 6 yr old girl4 years agoA. it has to be seen. Pediatric doctor should examine as it is difficult to advise for this without examining the baby . Further any medication according to the examination only . Also it may be required to have some test .

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 9 m old boy4 years agoA. Jaundice usually appears about 3 days after birth and disappears by the time the baby is 2 weeks old. In premature babies, who are more prone to jaundice, it can take 5 to 7 days to appear and usually lasts about 3 weeks. It also tends to last longer in babies who are breastfed, affecting some babies for a few months.
