Q.

Hello my sister had a delivery 5 days ago baby and mother both doing well only concern is baby is unable to suck breast milk due to size of nipple. My sister tried using nipple shield but baby seems not comfortable with it also she feels she is not getting enough breast milk what should she do now?? Please give ur suggestions

A. Hello dear parent! Few babies will have sucking issues in the start. Would suggest you to take advice from a lactation expert. Latch the baby well onto the breast and baby holds on for more than 10 to 20 minutes. Follow your doctor’s instructions diligently. Be patient and persistent with efforts
