Q.

hello, My baby is 2 month old. he is low birth weight baby, his weight is 1.885kg during her birth. he takes breast milk and formula feeding(twice a day). He takes Similac(Neosure) milk powder. Now, his weight is 2.7kg. what can I do for his weight gaining.

A. Milk is very important for babies specially in the initial days of life breast milk is very important and should be given exclusively till 5-6 months of age . formula milk should be given only as a substitute to breast milk if due to any reason it is not sufficient to fulfill the demand of the baby. according to the age different stage of formula milk are there like stage 1 till 6 motnths of age stage 2 from 6 months to 12 months and thereafter stage 3 . after one year cogyws milk should be started and any kind of health drink powder in milk should be used only after the completion of two years of age .

The child has gained 900 g in two months which is exceptionally good because I think you are keeping a combination feet for the child so that’s working out so continue the same way about a minimum of 4 to 500 g is considered good ideally so you can increase one or two times of powdered milk for the childWrite Your Answer Here
