hello, my baby is 10 month old he got fever temperature reaches 102.5 degree faranhet. I'm giving meftal syrup. if I use wet cloth on his head frequently ,is it useful to reduce temperature?

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. yes, give meftal in proper dose. and at proper adviced time interval .
Give tepid sponging to bring down the temperature if fever ..Always use room temperature water/tap water..not cool, because shivering can actually raise your baby's temperature rather than help bring it down.
The child should also be encouraged to drink fluids to replace those lost through sweating.
