Hi dear you can start from the day 1 also. most doctors would suggest that we can use mild soap or wash for the babies. Since the babies skin is sensitive and still not used to outside world and atmosphere I would suggest go for something that is gentle and kind for the skin. You can try using Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Wash and  Shampoo. It's quite gentle and good in the skin.

Hi mom you can start soap and shampoo after birth.I personally use Johnson’s Baby soap and Johnson’s Baby no more tear shampoo they both are dermatologist tested and soap is mild and gentle on skin ph balanced and shampoo is mild and tear free.Safe for new born delicate skin.Go for it mom
