Are you giving cow's milk to your baby? Avoid giving cow's milk before the baby turns one year old. Cow's milk is too heavy for a baby's stomach. Cow's milk has less iron content when compared to breast milk or iron fortified formula milk. This can cause iron deficiency anemia in your baby. Loose motions could be due to intake of cow's milk. Exclusive breastfeeding is advisable till the time the baby completes 6 months of age. In case breast milk production is low, continue feeding formula milk till the baby turns one year old.
