A. If the kid is active and is eating well, then there is nothing to worry about. Instead of giving plain milk, you can give fruit milkshakes and fruit smoothies and add dry fruits powder to them. Supplements should be avoided and if necessary, should be taken after consultation with your doctor. Give lentils like urad dal and moong dal. Give plain nuts to eat like almonds, walnuts, cashew nuts, peanuts and raisins. Give one boiled egg per day. Give peanut butter sandwiches and cheese sandwiches. Give whole cow's milk and milk products like cheese, home made paneer, butter, curd and ghee in small amounts. Give bananas, avocados, pears as they help in weight gain. Give cheesy mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes. Give ragi. Give apricots, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, sesame seeds. Give almond milk. Give mangoes, papayas and pineapples.
