Q.

Hello, I am facing the problem that my baby does not reach hind milk while breast feeding. How do I know whether i produce enough hind milk or baby does not suck hard enough to reach hind milk. He does not appear contented and is irritable and refuses to take supplementary feed.

A. Hello good evening !!! Breast milk contains fore milk watery milk thin in texture like water ,hind milk looks like normal milk thicker than fore milk. You can check by expressing out milk while giving feed. Give frequent feeds every two hours for 10-15 minutes each side or 20-25 minutes continuously one side next feed other side.
