Q.

hello expert my baby is 8 month old today. birth weight was 2.440 kg. on the 7 month her weight was 5.7 kg. she is very active. I have introduce solids like sweet potato, pumpkin, carrots, banana, rice, daal, sooji.. sometime she eats well, sometime she refuse everything. till 6 month she was exclusive breastfeed. now except solid food she do breastfeeding. but the weight is not gaining properly.. how can I increase weight for my baby?

A. Dear mum, you can give all the foods that you have mentioned. Apart from that give milk products like curd, paneer, cheese. Add powdered nuts like almonds to baby’s food. You can give eggs. If you are a non vegetarian, then you can give meat, chicken and fish. Add ghee to every meal and squeeze lemon wherever possible. Give 3 meals a day and up to half katori every time. Continue to breastfeed.

A. weight is less, Consult your paedritician to rule out underlying cause of underweight and treatment accordingly, it's important for her.. give her food that is more energy dense. tc.
