Hello Dr ,My son is 15 months old and weighs 10.5 kg. He is suffering from fever. How many dose of pacimol drops 100mg/ml should be given at one time?

A. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children. But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out . Antipyretic likeui paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging wyith lukewarm water is also helpful . Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .
